it’s easy once you know how.Video link: Content-aware Fill in Photoshop CS5
Posted by James - 25/03/10 at 08:03:07 amIt’s well over a year since CS4 came out and introduced some cool new content-aware transformation tools (see an earlier post about content-aware scaling in CS4) and with the release of CS5 it turns out we’ll have another awesome content-aware trick added to our toolkit. I just don’t know what to say; it’s totally awesome.
A reason why Photoshop CS4 kicks ass
Posted by James - 28/01/09 at 10:01:54 amHere’s one reason why Photoshop CS4 kicks ass (here’s something completely new).

Automated removal of non-static elements with Photoshop
Posted by James - 26/04/08 at 03:04:09 pmThis is a short little video that demonstrates a quick and easy way of removing unwanted elements from your photos. To do it yourself, you’ll need several shots of your target – enough so that any area covered in one photo is uncovered in another. Once you’ve got that, Photoshop can automate the alignment and image compositing, to remove all those pesky people from your shot.
I found this through Stumbleupon, so I don’t know the full backstory / accompanying materials, if anyone would care to inform me!

Now, my knowledge of Photoshop is ok, certainly on-par with those I work with, but Psdtuts? I’m a complete novice against them. I tried to do a couple of their tutorials as a demonstration, but they didn’t turn out so good. They make it look so easy, but I guess you need some mystical, innate knowledge if you’re going to compete.
